bbbngowc
Anyone knows how to force client computers to logon to a specific domain controller? All the clients are in a specific subnet and AD sites and services are configure, but the clients are still authenticating against random dc's. Any help would be great.BTW, it's a Win 2003 Domain with XP client computers. Edited February 15, 2009 by bbbngowc
Tripredacus
I'm not sure I understand the behaviours that the clients are experiencing. Are they receiving errors, or are they logging into the wrong domains?
Noise
Click Start, Selct Run, Type the following:ECHO 192.168.1.100 ADC1 #PRE #DOM:MYDOMAIN > %SystemRoot%\System32\Drivers\etc\LMHOSTSReplace the IP Address with the actual IP Address of your server you ant to authenticate to. Replace ADC1 with the actual name of that server. Replace MYDOMAIN with the name of your domain.
IcemanND
I'm curious as to why you would want to do this? Unless it is specifically for testing.
