PROBLEMCHYLD Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I was just given a Compaq Armada 7380DMT laptop and i wanted toknow if it was possible to connect it to a Netgear Router because it has no usb slots for a wireless adapter. It has Win95 but i'm going to upgrade to Win98SE.
noguru Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Are you asking us if your laptop has a NIC (network interface controller)? I can't see that from here But, a quick Google search revealed to me that this is a >10 year old laptop that came standard with a 33K modem in most countries. That is not going to help you. It also has 2 PCMCIA slots and (wireless) NIC adapters for it do exist. In case you have one, hooking up with any router or switch or whatever is no problem with Win98.In case you don't have, this is a win98 compatible example:http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WPC11-Wirele...M/ref=de_a_smtd

Ken-mkII Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 If your laptop support Cardbus 32bit PCMCIA, you can easily added USB support by plug-in a Cardbus-> USB converter. If so, then u can use any USB external CD/RW (or even DVD/R) with your classic laptop. For floppy drive, there is easily added ith usb external usb floppy, too.And HDD, with Disk Manager, you can easily use up to 137G with it (But I think it is waste). So, a 40B PATA 2.5" HDD should be more suitable for your case. And RAM... Err... No comment (Since I have no info with it).
