Help Needed With Moviemaker Please !

Hi There Everyone,

I'm totally new to this website and this is my first , of many more to come no doubt, post.

Now my problem is that windows movie maker, that i have been using for years, is now giving me the following message " The video was not captured correctly. Verify that your video camera and capture device are configured properly ", I can't understand this as i usually just hook up my v.camera to the computer then click capture in moviemaker.Does anyone know how to configure? Someone please help as i am tearing my hair out over this one !

For capture from VC I use WinDV.

Thanks Jeremy , I'll download winDV and give it a go as soon as i've got time. although still can't figure how to configure!!
