c0000221 {bad image checksum} error

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I made a slipstream CD with SP3 some RAID drivers as well as video drivers, some programs, And removed some components i don't ever use/need (the video drivers that come with XP, extra languages, Accessibility options ect)

And i always get this error after the Windows XP boot screen:

STOP: c0000221 {bad image checksum} the image file imagehlp.dll is possible corrupt, The header checksum does not match the computer checksum

Can someone explain why this is happening?

hellbringer616, your side bar says Windows 7. If you are running that, then you are in the wrong forum. Try the vLite forum. If not, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Also, please attach your imagehlp.dll, so we can take a look at it. Enjoy, John.
