January 18, 200917 yr I've been using since long time ago this freeware program to watch TV:http://www.jlc-software.com/?page=internet_tv.htmlSince some months ago I only get the needed codecs online using Windows XP and Windows Media 11. It seems the codecs for Windows 98 and WM9 are not available any more on line from Microsoft.I wonder if there is a possibility of downloading the needed codecs to keep them at the HD, so that the program may work without any online downloads. Where could I find them? Thanks. Edited January 18, 200917 yr by cannie
January 19, 200917 yr Cannie, hopefully, situation is not that bad - you can still download them from Microsoft site:WMP9 (for Win98/ME, 2000): http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/b...299/MPSetup.exeWM9Codecs: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=enWindows Media Video 9 VCM (if you need this): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=enI hope this will help you. Btw, this program looks interesting with exception of Real Player requirement (I really dislike that player but maybe Real Alternative it's enough?). Edited January 19, 200917 yr by rainyd
January 19, 200917 yr Author Btw, this program looks interesting with exception of Real Player requirement (I really dislike that player but maybe Real Alternative it's enough?).There are only a few stations not using Windows Media, so I deleted Real Player. Real Alternative didn't work properly, at least two years ago, I never tried afterwards.Thank you for your help, Rainyd!
