hamohd70 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 from within my poweruser account, when i try to open some jpg files in from my wallpaper folder in winxp into paint.net (or any other application) i get this error:"access was denied to the requested file (unauthorized access)"can anyone tell me why is this and to solve it ?thanks
DigeratiPrime Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Check the file and folder permissions, make sure your user has at least 'read' rights to those files.
hamohd70 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 permissions are alright.Only recent .jpg files are the problem; older .jpg files can be manipulated without problem.
Tripredacus Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 It sounds like an ownership issue? Try to change ownership on a file to your account and see if that lets you view them.
