George27
I'm changing motherboards in a nutshell I am going from nvidia to ati/amd. What I'd like to do intially is not do a clean install but a repair installation and get things up and running as quickly as possible. Do I need to remove nvidia video, realteak audio (older ac97 / Realtek ALC850), and the ethernet drivers before I reinstall xpsp3. The only similar onboard components are the realtek audio which is the Realtek ALC1200 chipset. Thanks in advance. Ponch
You don't have to remove any driver, they will simply not be present physically and so not showing. But the worse scenari for your action are still BSOD or failure to boot Windows with loop reboot.

nitroshift
Still you'd be better off with a clean install.
