Windows 7 Team how do you contact them? Are you fed up with Windows?

Vista is great, best Windows ever, and hopefully Win 7 is very much like it :)

I'm sorry, but that sounds like fanboy talk. Without any solid arguments to back it up, like Zxian did. Many OEM's, companies and other organizations think otherwise. Heck, even Steve Balmer admitted that Vista is a 'work in progress', that a lot of customers stay with XP, and that you may be grateful that you can downgrade from Vista to XP.

Edit: Enlighten me, how can something be great, and the best Windows ever, while it's still a work in progress according to Microsoft, and so massively rejected by many major companies and the like? o.O

Oh yea, someone likes it, he's a fanboy!

Just as much as everyone who doesn't is just trolling (actually, some of them are... for sure, some even make a habit out of it, no need to point out names even)

you may be grateful that you can downgrade from Vista to XP

Couldn't care less, I ain't ever going back :) In fact, I'm rather looking forward to being completely XP-free, in a couple of months.

Facts? LOL. I didn't see much of that in here (only noticed any in Zxian's posts), including your own posts. I don't particularly care why you don't like it either, nor which"facts" you hand-picked to support your biased views.

Either ways, if you don't like it, you might as well go buy a Mac today...

Edit2: yes, totally hand picked (and I'm using the term "fact" lightly here). And buy a Mac, because you won't most likely won't like Win 7, nor 8, nor 9, nor 10, etc. That, or you can go back to Win 3.11, which has no actual features (what you guys call bloat), which is basically the only thing some of you wouldn't complain about (but then again, some will still say "oh noes, it's from the evil, eviiiiil Micro$haft0rz and it's not open source!!1!one!!! And it costs more than nothing too")

I don't really see why I'd have to come up with anything either. Besides, you're not interested in facts. When presented with some, you try to sidestep them, counter them with irrelevant/unrelated things and FUD, and nitpick overall (yeah, Linux power management *really* works, LOL)

Vista is a failure and that's all there is to it.

um yeah a total failure. that why they arent basing windows 7 on it. Vista has met its numbers despite all the FUD being spread around about it.

Well.. with some quick googling you could have saved some $$.

The best media center ever: http://www.team-mediaportal.com (opensource/win32)

have you ever used Mp? or just googled, saw "open source" used your magical open source=always better equation and posted that its the 'best media center ever' i would think if you had used it, you wouldnt have had to google for it. I HAVE used it and found its terrible even when compared to MCE 2005. you want a good MC try XBMC it easily smokes mp. and its open source you its magically better than anything else ever!

Remote Desktop? Doesn't come as default on all windows since XP? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...rdclientdl.mspx

yes it does but:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...cc61e61033.mspx

You cannot use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to remote (host) computers running the following editions of Windows Vista:

•Windows Vista Starter

•Windows Vista Home Basic

•Windows Vista Home Basic N

•Windows Vista Home Premium

the same was true for XP Home and XP Starter

as for the worries that too many editions is somhow ruining windows rumor has it there will be 3 7 editions:

Windows Vista Home Premium Edition => Windows 7 Home Premium Edition

Windows Vista Business Edition => Windows 7 Professional Edition

Windows Vista Ultimate Edition => Windows 7 Ultimate Edition

this would seem to be credible as i can see MS doing away with Home basic after all the p***ing and moaning about it and i fully expect them to keep enterprise edition as well for VLK customers (even though a good part of this audience has a KMS by now)

as for the "LOL you paid hundreds of dollars for 'ultimate widows' you must be stupid. I want to have Linuses babies!!" (i know that not what you said but that what i read) Microsoft is a company. they sell things. sometime that requires marketing things. get over it. if you want to spread around how much better linux is than anything MS ever made without doing any research at all, they have a site for that. its called slashdot.org The first 2 letters of the domain stand for Microsoft so surprise surprise your gonna find windows users here!

oh and:

even MS admits that Vista came packed with too much bloat
[citation needed]
but its a fcu king pain having to work with something like Vista in the real world.

ok first off, dont work around the word censors they are there for a reason. secondly, i live and work in the real world and Vista isnt nearly as bad today as XP was in 2004 2 years after its launch

as for the question asked originally, you can contact the Windows 7 team by registering as a beta tester (HINT: you cant do this at piratebay.org you need to get you betas through MS for your opinion to be heard)

No kidding. It's only a matter of time before he starts to evangelize the gimp (over photoshop no less), emacs and latex...

Yes, great place to bash Windows, without requiring any actual facts, grounds, reasons or anything, and where you get modded up for "chair" and BSOD jokes year-round. The only interesting (and very, very funny) thing about that place is that they owe a very large of their revenue directly to Microsoft. Yes, open source's business model is so great it has to rely on ad money from closed source vendors to survive (bashing them meanwhile). That place is a luser circle jerk site and not much more... News? LOL, whatever. Yellow journalism at its best. Misleading/troll/controversial headlines and everything else they can get away with (and forget about fact checking altogether) to get more page views (more views = more advertising money). Even digg is better... Linux is so great that even those that don't want to use Windows still chose to buy $2000 Macs (with another closed source, non-free, commercial OS, with DRM and all) over Linux by a factor of like 100:1. When you can't even manage to give away your main product, and that 99% of people would rather (and do) pay a LOT for the alternative, you know it sucks very badly. Then again, some people seem to prefer not having to pay anything, over having quality software with a good interface and all (or software that just works, unlike Linux) and the very best offerings from commercial vendors. Then they try to convince themselves it's just as good or better... lol

Shutting down, flamewars are not acceptable and this has become less a discussion than a trollfest. If you want to troll, at least troll Vista in the Vista forums, not in the General Discussion or Microsoft Beta forums.
