Generally LCD monitors work best at 60Hz refresh rate.

Even if the monitor supports other refresh rates, they generally give a poorer picture.

If you are not using a DVI connection to your PC, but using analog VGA, then the monitor needs to be synchronised to the PC video signal.

There is normally an Auto button or menu option on the monitor to auto-sync the signal.

If the LCD monitor is out of sync with the signal, then it will give a worse picture and may cause eye discomfort.

The other aspect to consider is the native resolution of the monitor.

Using a lower resolution on the PC will result in an interpolated blurry picture.

For example, your 19" LCD probably has a native resolution of 1280x1024.

Hope this helps.

LCD is not suit to set the refresh rate... Just 60 is Okej... Higher usually will make the display blur....

Since LCD use flat back light, so the "refresh" issue like CRT will not happen in LCD.
