RBCC Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I am building a installation DVD of Microsoft Vista Ultimate and Home premium how doI change the boot and logon screen? Is it like XP? John
mrfret Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) mount install.wim, go to mount location\windows\system32\imageres.dllopen with restuner or reshackeropen folder imageI changed all of these images to the one I wanted. I just saved them as different sizes as needed. Use photoshop or gimp or whatever to edit your images. Also, not sure if it's necessary, but I named my edited images the same as the originals, 5031.bmp, 5032.bmp, and so on.edit: images are .jpg not .bmp Edited December 28, 2008 by mrfret
JatinBeniwal Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I am a little bit confused as same stuff found in boot.wim also. I edited winpe only and it works fine.

RBCC Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 :thumbup Has anybody edited the winload.exe.mui or any other mui files on the vista cd? If so, can I change the font by adding a "font line" using reshacker or restorator? Or will it make Windows not load? Also, how do I "Slipstream fonts" in vista or do I need to, in order to see the fonts on the boot screen? John "I asked too many questions because I am confused!"
