johnhc
CyberPro CW, I assume Windows XP MC 2005 is Windows Media Center? What are you doing? Have you clicked the Brose... button? Have you copied your CD(s) to your HDD? Is the error on your optical drive or HDD? BTW, there are a number of posts here of how to combine the two MCE CDs into one. A search will turn them up. Enjoy ,John.
CyberPro CW
i have 9 versions of xp in 1 cdi tried to extract MCE directly from it and got this error
johnhc
CyberPro CW, 9 copies of XP on one CD? One copy is about 80% of a CD. Can you Explore the CD with Windows Explorer? Just load the CD, then right click the CD icon in My Computer and click Explore. Do a Print Screen and post the image here. Thanks, John.
mara-
You are getting that error because data can not be read from CD/DVD. You CD/DVD is damaged or maybe dirty.Cheers

johnhc
CyberPro CW, please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of your folder. I am really curious about your downloading a copy of XP MCE SP3. Do you mean the whole operating system? If so, it cannot be a legal copy since MS does not give their software away. Do you mean just the service pack SP3? If so, post the full name so we can look at it. Enjoy, John.
