keithh Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I do a common task of opening Disk Management to assign my CD drive to a deep letter, like Z. This way it doesn't get changed. An old habit from days when installed games expected CD drives to be a certain letter, usually bumped by additional drives. Is there a setting to change drive letters? Or is this a good idea or possibly something in the works?
johnhc Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 keithh, there is a utility called MapDrive (free) that can do this for you and it can be run at T-39. I know nothing about this utility and have not used it. There are a number of posts here about changing drive letters during unattended. Search here and via your favorite engine (Google). Enjoy, John.
