Hello, I got my own Vista Ultimate 64 BIT SP1 and only 850MB. Just for gaming.

So far it worked perfect. But now GTA IV came out and you need Net Framework 3.5 to play it!

I had ultra hard time to install Net Framework 3.5 till now!!!

I couldnt install Net Framework 3.5 (I tryed all versions), so what I did was to make a new Vista Edition, but this time with Intrenet Explorer, Windows Update, ActiveX installer, and few more IP things.

But I still cant to install Net Framework 3.5!

Aslo, Microsoft says: Important: Make sure you have the latest service pack and critical updates for the version of Windows on the computer. To look for recent updates, visit Windows Update. In addition, make sure you have Windows Installer 3.1 installed before you install this service pack.

Soo I tryed to install Windows Installer 3.1 but I had an error, cant remmber what. Something like Not enough Stroge process available to run this.

(Im on normal Vista Ultimate now soo I dont remmber, but something like that)

Soo someone!!! Please help!!! Im so tired of it!! I did 3 pc formats already!

Please, it may be cus I deleted winsxs from vlite???

Sorry bad english, im editing now!

Thanks a lot if someone gonna help me.

I believe that it IS because you deleted the winsxs folder. That folder, even though it CAN be deleted, stores a lot of important files and should be left alone.

There's more information on the winsxs folder posted here in the forums, but I would say that you're problem with not being able to install .net 3.5 is because you deleted the winsxs folder.

Thanks a lot for reply!

Soo no need for Windows Update and Intrenet Explorer to install Net Framework?

More comments, it is really winsxs? How bad winsxs is?

Thanks again!
