Markymarc206 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) Hey guys, I have a problem with Vlite. To start it off I tried to reformat my computer and install Vista Ultimate 64bit and it just would not take. So I ended up having to reinstall my 32bit version. I saught help from MaximumPC and they told me to A: Either make a slipstream disk using vLite or Try installing with only 2GB install SP1 then install the rest of the ram. I guess the Vista RTM had a nasty bug when it was dealing with 4GB and 64bit Vista. I simply chose to try and make a slipstream because it was simple and didn't require a reformat. Anywho, I downloaded vLite 1.2 Final along with the x64 bit SP1 for Vista. I put in my x64 cd for vista allowed it to the files to the harddrive. Then it asked what I wanted to do. I chose Slipstream a service pack. And when I selected the location for the x64 version of SP1 it came back saying that I had the wrong version of the client. Is there two different versions of vlite for 32bit and 64bit? I am using 32bit trying to slipstream a 64bitThanks for the help, hopefully someone can get to me. Be kind (as I looked for no reason).EDIT -Ok, apparently you changed the post. Appears that vLite does support x64. Perhaps another can help. Edited December 6, 2008 by submix8c
