[7.2.0] can't filecopy *.bat or *.cmd / read only

Featured Replies

Hi

There's a bug I hadn't when I was using version 7.1.1.

I can't copy files with the extension .bat or .cmd (maybe others).

If I simply rename the file to any other extension (like jpg or lol), it works.

example of filecopy not working:

'{FILECOPY} "%wpipath%\\Install\\Process Explorer\\taskxp.bat" "%programfiles%\\"'

It fails and states "File not found" in the log.

Also files/folders copied from the cd keep the attribute "read-only". I don't know if it's a feature or a bug. It wasn't happening with 7.1.1. Is there any way to change the attributes from WPI?

Thanks

Sigh.......alright.

I had some code to check for existance of some files to get better ReturnCode's from the installer, but it is obviously not 100% complete. I took it out.

Will get a new version posted here shortly.

Thanks.

the filecopy bug is solved :) Thanks!

Anyway there's still a problem with the read-only attribute of a file you copy from the cd to the hd. Is it a feature? How can I change the attribute with WPI?
