I want to installing new ram because my pc is toooo slow... but I have no knowledge about ram at all.. hix

I heard ppl said that in order to upgrade you need to have compatible ram?? and I don't know what it is... I've also go to the website http://crucial.com/ and find the right ram but... it said that " can't find manufacture.."

Well you gotta find out if its PC100 or PC2700 DDR

How many pins are there?

If you open your system up and remove the ram chip (while the computer is off of course ) and it might and might not say what it is, but most of the time there is a sticker on there telling you want the memory is. You may wanna try download pc wizard or EVEREST Home Edition to get better detailed information of your computer.

Just take the ram out of your system and find out for sure if its PC2700 DDR If it is, it would be 184 pin.

Check on newegg or tigerdirect or your local computer store to get some more ram. Depending on your motherboards model, it will only hold soo ram. Since yours only had 128mb, maybe the max is 2GB not sure.

Yup, there you go, Get some PC3200 DDR 2048mb (2.0GB) and max it out. Its pretty cheap now.

Well some computers can only do PC2700

Well PC3200 would be much more faster but not much than the PC2700.. its just overall better ram.
