marc180
Hey everybody, new to vlite i'm sure this question has been asked about a million time so i guess mine is going to be a million and on lol. I wanted to know if there's anyway of integrating programs into the unattended version of vista. Stuff like Firefox and flash player so i don't have to do it everytime i install it ( gets really annoying ) any help would be great. Thanks in advanceMarc180
COOLCOMPUTERGUY
Yes you most definately can but not with vlite alone. You will need microsoft Windows Automated Installation Kit.I always use vlite to do the dirty work and configure my apps with WAIK.
cluberti
If you want to *preinstall* apps into a vista WIM, consider using MDT 2008 (Update 1) and the WAIK to set up, install, create, and then .ISO the image itself. If you want a disc that installs apps after Vista, you can use vLite or the WAIK. MDT 2008 can actually do this as well, so it's also an option. COOLCOMPUTERGUY
I wasn't aware that vlite could make a disk that installs apps after vista. It is my understanding that vlitw does not have the capability to preinstall applications.
cluberti
You are correct, I was thinking of something else. Haven't used vLite in awhile now, more of an nLite user way back when. I use MDT for everything nowadays.
iamtheky
Is the runonceex not sufficient, I abuse that cmd, have like 25 apps that load from mine including firefox and flash10? not exactly "a disk after install" but queued up nonetheless.
