intergrated Sp1 and then...

so I intergrated SP1 but my install.wim is 4.02GB. doesn't that mean Vista won't boot the instanow? is there a work around?!?!?

+ 4gig sounds way too big for just integrating sp1?? How did you integrate it? What method?

To give you an idea mines under 3gig with nothing removed from the source?

adding a lot of applications and drivers into my image the entire dvd is 4.05 but it installs just fine.

also, I use vLite to intergrate then Save Changes, Rebuild All does not work...

how do you guys get it so small?!

Why you do it yourself? why not download the offical SP1-slipstreamed Vista from MSDN

Where do you get a limit of 4GB? I think you're thinking of the stuff floating around with 4Gb memory max which isn't 100% correct.

A data dvd has the limit of 4.5GB which when you burn an iso its basically that to a dvd-r. What I use is a dvd-rw which has a smaller limit somewhere around 4.3 GB usable depending on what you use.

I exceeded mine last test and so I simply removed all the other images except 1 i was installing from my install and it gave me more room which is at Size=3635.8 now

you have already used vlite, don,t click the "make iso" instead click the split image button on the the split image window.
