alvinkhorfire Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) Pardon my ignorance, could anyone please tell me that in general, which of the chipset is better, Intel or Nvidia's nForce chipset? What is their difference in terms of performance? And, their price? I thought that Intel processors have run best with an Intel chipset, but I could be wrong. Sorry, I do not know much about it due to my limited computer knowledge.Any opinion will be greatly appreciated. Edited October 30, 2008 by alvinkhorfire
Octopuss Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 While I cannot provide any technical details about the differences, I can say I used to be a hippie for years until I moved onto Intel platform over a year ago and don't regret a single second of it
puntoMX Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 If you want to go SLI you need a nVidia chipset, other than that there is no need to go with nVidia, not even there onboard GeForce 8xx0 series can make it against the GMA x3xxx x4xxx from Intel (or the latest ATI chips, but that´s just with an AMD CPU).nVidia should have stayed with their GPUs and NOT with chipsets for motherboards... just my 2 cents...
nitroshift Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 [...]nVidia should have stayed with their GPUs and NOT with chipsets for motherboards... just my 2 cents...... and develop a proper driver for their cards.
