phaolo Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Recently I got some Adobe errors due to missing "Everyone" rights in "AllUsers" folder. Is a good practice to set "AllUsers" with read, list, execute for that group? Or could this generate security issues?
Tripredacus Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Yes, the everyone group should have access to that folder. The default permissions should propogate to allow that group to read from that folder already. Typically, write access should also be allowed for owned objects. Here is how my folder is set up:Administrators and SYSTEM have Full ControlPower Users has everything except Full Control, and Special: Change Permissions and Take Ownership.Everyone and Users have Read & Execute, List Folder Contents and Read Edited October 10, 2008 by Tripredacus
phaolo Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) I currently have Administrators, System, Me at "Full Control" and Users with "read, list, execute".I'll add "Everyone" with "read, list, execute" too then.Thanksp.s: one time "Creator Owner" gave me access problems, so I completely removed it on install now.
