Overclocking Software

Hi there,

I have a stupid Packard Bell machine running a Core Duo 2 - 2.6 Ghz and a NVidia 8600GS - now im unable to find any kind of flash BIOS for this to enable me to overclock my CPU.

Does anyone know of any software that will enable me to overclock the processor or the Nvidia card?

System BIOS?? No way. You'll have a super hard time finding modded BIOS or a way to mod the BIOS for that..

OK here is what I did when I had my crap-tastic ECS mobo...

It's called a bsel1 mod

Basically it is manually rewiring your chip and oc'ing it that way.

Look through this thread very closely and look at the pics.

It's actually very safe and has the added bonus of being easily reversable.

Do you know where i get the Config files for this mate? I tried the program but there was no config files?

Thats for modifying your video cards bios. I'd use NiBiToR instead for that task. You can find it on;

However I would just use rivatuner to oc the card.

As for oc'ing cpu and mem, you can try SetFSB and MemSet.

I doubt you'll find a decent bios unless it's a somewhat standard board and has a manufacturer bios available instead of an OEM one.

MemSet is a bit too advanced to start with, sure it´s easy to use but you can mess your system really up with that and the RAM is the last thing to tweak any way, start with the CPU .
