epic
Anyone have suggestions on Removing/Uninstall vista languages from the System32/Winsxs directories? The default language is en-US... all the other (over 50) languages that are taking up diskspace. Regional Settings does not provide any languages to remove but en-US (English). x-Shadow-x
Short of going in and hacking away at it (and praying for the best), no there's no way of shrinking this folder easily (or maybe at all). This was discussed here awhile back as well, with some success by some people and epic failure by others, IIRC. You can probably find that thread if you do a quick search and want to read up on it. epic
That comment is regarding 'Winsxs' itself... I'm speaking of the additional 'Languages' that Microsoft decided to install without the users approval.
x-Shadow-x
Do you mean when installing (install from scratch)?
epic
Maybe I should have named the title Vista 'MUI' ... besides
