Hi There, I have a couple of simple questions :)

1. Is Windows Server 2008 Standard and Home Server the same thing or similar?

2. If I we're to use Windows Server 2008, could I use the Home Server Connector software to connect to a Windows Server 2008 PC? :)

No. Totally different products. Just grouped together here because they are both server Oses

I doubt it but ive never tried it.

Home Server is just Server 2003 with a different GUI to make it look more like XP, thus being more user friendly to non-enterprise/smb customers. Compared to Server 2008, Home Server is very lacking in features, and quite limiting. Home Server isn't designed to be used in the corporate world, and is targeted at Home Users with home networks. Server 2008 can do everything that Home Server can. The connector is basically a non-technical way of configuring advanced network connections, such as mapping or mounting network drives, setting up network backups, etc.
