spacesurfer
I choose to integrate Internet Explorer 7 and when nLite comes to that points, it asks me if I want to overwrite the newer file in install source with an older one? Obviously I choose to keep the newer one but why is it doing that?My install source is SP3 Pro. Did SP3 pro update some files to newer ones and IE 7 has older versions of those files? All of my other updates are after IE7, by the way, including the IE7 cumulative update. dougp21
Now sure how you went about your custom pack for IE7, but here is how I did mine and it works a charm.(ENTRIES_IE7.ini)[general]builddate=08/21/2008description=Internet Explorer 7language=Englishversion=7.0.5730.13website=http://www.microsoft.com[EditFile]I386\SVCPACK.INF,SetupHotfixesToRun,AddProgram[AddProgram]IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe /quiet /norestart /update-no /nobackupJust download the installer from MS (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) and place in the svcpack folder., then zip the ini and rest up in a zip or cab. Of course if you want it to backup replaced files then remove the /nobackup switch. If you keep it like above it wont show in add/remove programs and cannot be uninstalled.http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx Edited August 21, 2008 by dougp21
spacesurfer
I mean during the nLite integration process; not during the actual xp install.
