August 20, 200818 yr i recently installed xp x64 on a machine and everytime i try to download and install messanger it says i cant install that version on a system b4 service pack 2 but i have service pack 2 on it so i got this msn somewhere that said it would work with xp x64 so i tried it and it worked ok for awhile it was 8.1 but now the person i did it for is saying that itll take 8 - 10 tries sometimes before a message can be sent he gets an error message. So i went over and cleaned the regestry and uninstalled all messangers and reinstalled the one i had and it seems to be fine but he says that after awhile itll start messing up again. So i have no clue can someone pls explain this too me and tell me how to fix it ??
August 22, 200818 yr Windows Live Messenger doesn't support 64bit WindowsYou can try MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger 5.1You hav another option......you should try PIDGIN v2.5, A generic messenger works with most of messenger services.
