IcemanND
Here's one way, and free: http://www.msfn.org/board/GUIDE-Creating-W...st&p=674778Or any number of other imaging applications: http://www.msfn.org/board/Disk-Imaging-Sof...ml&hl=image
JedMeister
I had a quick look at your links IcemanND. Nice work on the WIM HowTo Manual! Sorry but I didn't have time to look all through the second forum topic you linked to so I'm not sure if this one's there or not. A great one I've come across lately is Macrium Reflect - Free Edition. It is the only professional looking, comprehensive Disk Imaging software for Windows I've come across that is completely free! Have a look.
ac919h
See I am running win xp pro. and what i am wanting to do is reformat my drive re-install some software tweak it out the way i want it and then back a image file so the next time something would go wrong and i have to lets say reformat all i have to do is put that disk in and intsall it just like you would get a restore disk with a brand name computer lets say like HP when you buy one. hope this says a little more. kingsc
Easiest way for you if you don't mind spending money would probably be Acronis True Image 11 Home
