kooftspc Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 i need the chipset driver package to be slipstreamed into my xp install because of SATA drivers. when i visited the driver page of my motherboard mfg i found that the driver is only available in .EXE form. so i used winrar to extract the .exe and now i am left with about 30 .INF files. my question: can i simply slipstream the .exe driver package or do i have to go through and put in every single .inf that is available in the folder?
TranceEnergy Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 nlite will copy all the files in that folder, it doesnt matter what inf file you select.
kooftspc Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 i tried 3 different variations of folder selection all to no avail when trying to install xp on this machine...still getting blue screen with stop error 7Bis it possible to just add the chipset driver package as an .exe?
kooftspc Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 ok never mind i did a forum search (what i should have done in the first place) and found a great thread about integrating intel chipset drivers for SATA drives all is well now this forum is a great resource
