  1. It's not the PSU, it's RAM all the way. Bad RAM causes erratic behaviour, including unexpected shutdowns. im really compelled to believe you... but the psu doesnt even turn on anymore ill try and isolate the bad stick as soon as i get a working psu
  2. in the midst of sorting out the memory dump....the computer turned off. it seems the psu has died. i ran a memtest and got 2048 errors could these two things be related?
  3. memory dump requires me to boot into windows, no? i wonder if i can get the system running long enough to paste that here
  4. i turned on one of my old machines today and ran it for a few minutes when i got a bsod...there was no stop error mentioned where do i start? what should i do?
  5. ok never mind i did a forum search (what i should have done in the first place) and found a great thread about integrating intel chipset drivers for SATA drives all is well now this forum is a great resource
  6. i tried 3 different variations of folder selection all to no avail when trying to install xp on this machine...still getting blue screen with stop error 7B is it possible to just add the chipset driver package as an .exe?
  7. i need the chipset driver package to be slipstreamed into my xp install because of SATA drivers. when i visited the driver page of my motherboard mfg i found that the driver is only available in .EXE form. so i used winrar to extract the .exe and now i am left with about 30 .INF files. my question: can i simply slipstream the .exe driver package or do i have to go through and put in every single .inf that is available in the folder?
