is it possible to slipstream an .exe?

i need the chipset driver package to be slipstreamed into my xp install because of SATA drivers. when i visited the driver page of my motherboard mfg i found that the driver is only available in .EXE form.

so i used winrar to extract the .exe and now i am left with about 30 .INF files.

my question: can i simply slipstream the .exe driver package or do i have to go through and put in every single .inf that is available in the folder?

i tried 3 different variations of folder selection all to no avail when trying to install xp on this machine...still getting blue screen with stop error 7B

is it possible to just add the chipset driver package as an .exe?
