550MB Image File?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am reinstalling Vista Ultimate 64 bit I am doing this on a Windows XP Pro 32-bit machine. I ran the 1.1.6 installer and then I used the self extracting archive of 1.2 RC and installed that over 1.1.6.

Then I started the process. I only applied a couple of tweaks (disable welcome stuff, the user account thingy and view hidden folders) and set up Unattended with key, username, password and regional settings. I chose to rebuild.

In the dialogue rebuilding image it increases in size to about 3GB, but when I create the ISO it ends up being only 550MB. I mounted the ISO in Nero and it apparantly only contains some drivers and a folder with apps that I inlcuded. There is no setup.exe there or anything.

I need the AIK thingy perhaps?

Being slightly impatient to get started I uninstalled vLite and installed the WAIK (it just finished downloading). Then I installed vLite 1.2RC and got the exact same problem. I tried "Save changes" instead of "Rebuild". The ISO only contains some boot config files and my own "extras" folder.

I am sorry I don't understand that comment.

It appears my DVD burner is defect and that is the reason for the strange behavior. Both nlite and vlite works fine with another burner.
