After the formating with the xp cd all things goes smoothly untill it say it will reboot in 14 sec. After this reboot it come back to the windows setup page again. I tried to create a partition and install over it but the same setup page appear again there is no error message it sometimes hang after this reboot. I do hope someone can help mje solve this problem Thanks.

That's because you always boot from your install CD or DVD. Either you don't have the "Press any key" message or you have it but you do press the key, which you should not.

You need to boot from the install CD ONCE. After that, the partition is created, formatted, and files are copied, you need to boot from the hard drive toi continue the installation process and not restatrt the install from point 1. You can try changing the boot order in the BIOS or taking the cd out while the PC boots and put it back in after 30 seconds.

normally when a pc does this it means it cannot find an active hard drive partition.

are you installing it on another hard disk other than the primary master?

boot order can fix this normally. but the best thing to do is to rearrange your disks so that the one your installing to is the first one detected in your system.

If this is just an issue with boot order, here's an easy way to fix it.

First, as Ponch said, when you reboot, don't press any keys when the "Press any key to boot from CD" message appears.

If you don't get that message or if that doesn't work, try this: After the first setup stage is finished and you get the 15sec. timer before the reboot, eject the XP disc before the computer reboots. Once the computer boots to the Windows XP splash screen, re-insert the CD before the 2nd phase of installation starts.

If that works, you may have to eject the CD once again AFTER the second phase finishes, or it is possible it will boot from CD once again, taking you back to the original windows installation screen. Just eject the CD and reboot.

If that doesn't work, then you probably have a different problem--post what occurs here.
