Unattended settings tips required

Hi there,

Rather than keeping doing 'trial and error' I'd like to use your knowledge of nLite to tell me what boxes to tick for the following:

How do I get a totally unattended install?

-I entered name of the computer and it is still asking

for a full name_ I entered the administrator name and I don't

want a password: it asks for one during install.

-I set the screen res. in nlite to the maximum it can take

with the default vga drivers 800X600 in 32bit), and it still asks me permission

to adjust the screen res (to put it to the actual settings I had

preset in nLite) during install

-I don't want the blue interface with the blablah and

the time count during install, how do i get rid of this?

-I don't want the prompt from security center and the welcome

screen after install_ how do I disable them?

Cheers...

-I entered name of the computer and it is still asking for a full name

-> ... did you enter the "full name" as well ?

-I entered the administrator name and I don't want a password: it asks for one during install.

-> did you check "blank password" ?

-I set the screen res. in nlite to the maximum it can take with the default vga drivers 800X600 in 32bit), and it still asks me permission to adjust the screen res (to put it to the actual settings I had preset in nLite) during install

-> some visual tweaks are known to be not fully working :}

-I don't want the blue interface with the blablah and the time count during install, how do i get rid of this?

-> check the Setup Look in the "Options"

-I don't want the prompt from security center and the welcome screen after install_ how do I disable them?

-> check "Skip OOBE" in Unattended.

Thats only in VMWare. WindowsXP does NOT have the proper drivers for VMWare Video. I usually just integrate those for easier and more life like testing. (They're tiny so I wouldn't sweat the extra disk space used.)

For the setup screen do like was suggested before OR use this prog here:

http://www.wpiw.net/downloads/winntbbued_3.1.exe

It will allow full customization.

Ponch and Kelsenellenelvian, thank you so much for your help and suggestions. I like the fact that you didn't just tellme to search the forum (as established members usually do in forums). It makes me save a lot of time and hassle. I'll do this and get back to you. Cheers!..

Guys, everything you advised me to do worked. Cheers for the help. One concern though: it did not install my VGA driver (audio, WAN and LAN installed fine) and I don't know how to integrate the CPU driver_ help would be welcome there. My next step will be to try integrating IE7 and WMP11. See ya.
