wrems
I have an old laptop ThinkPad 570. It doesn’t have a cd-rom or a floppy drive. What I have done in the past to install XP is to partition the hard drive and place the contents of my XP disc on the non-primary partition. I copy my boot disc to the primary partition. Then all I have to do is run WINNT.EXE from the I386 folder and I’m in business.I want to be able to install an nlited version of XP in a similar fashion. I don’t want the bloat that comes with the full install and without the use of a cd-rom I am stuck. There is no WINNT.EXE file in the I386 folder to begin the install. What am I doing wrong? Any advice, suggestions or help you can give is greatly appreciated.TIA
