MagicAndre1981 Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I love the Blue Login Screen from Vista Beta1 so I've modded the imageres.dll under Vista to have the old screen. But this doesn't work under Windows Server 2008.How Do I change the logon screen:Any ideas?
shahed26 Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) Same here, tried changing it by modifying the imageres.dll but no luck. I think there is a another file were it stores the classic logon screen, and server 2008 uses that files img resource. Been looking into many files but can't seem to find it yet, or a way to change it Edited July 7, 2008 by shahed26
dexter.inside Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 That's because it is being enforced from tokens.dat. On Vista/Server 2008 there's no GINA anymore for us to tweak like that.
MagicAndre1981 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 so you can't hack the logon screen in Server 2008?
dexter.inside Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 so you can't hack the logon screen in Server 2008?Actually the logon screen in Server 2008 is more like the lack of a logon screen. There are only resources for the Vista logon screen. The blue background is rendered behind both of them.
marcel5550 Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Hey can someone help me? I get the background picture in the upper left corner and not on the fullplace. It doesnt matter where i place it it goes wrong, i use Style XP andResource Hacker.
