Tomcat76 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Was IE7 slipstreamed or did HFSLIP create IE7_INST.EXE?
zedox Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 Good point!IESLIPSTREAM was set to 0.Testing now.
zedox Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Hmm, i've tried with IE7SLIPSTREAM set to 1 and KB950759 is still required by microsoft update.
Tomcat76 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I just did two tests with both HFSLIP 1.7.8 (IE7SLIPSTREAM=1) and the latest pre-alpha of HFSLIP 2.0 on an English Windows XP source and Microsoft Update is clean in both cases. Are you using an OEM version?
murvun Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Funny thing: KB950759 needs on one of my computers reinstall by Windows update again and again and again...IE and hotfixes up to January/February 2008 included/slipstreamed. SP3 was installed by Windows update... 'Reinstall error' only on Laptop/Notebook.
Tomcat76 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 @zedoxCan you check in SOURCE\I386 (not SOURCESS) which set of files you have; either these:BROWSEUI.DLLIEPEERS.DLLMSHTML.DLLSHDOCVW.DLLSHLWAPI.DLLURLMON.DLLor these:BROWSEUI.DL_IEPEERS.DL_MSHTML.DL_SHDOCVW.DL_SHLWAPI.DL_URLMON.DL_
zedox Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 @Tomcat76The files in SOURCESS are...browseui.dl_iepeers.dl_mshtml.dl_shdocvw.dl_shlwapi.dl_urlmon.dl_
hoosierpeschke Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I ran into the same issue. I was using the first IE7 without WGA. I re-downloaded IE7 dated 03JUL08 and was able to slipstream IE7 and the KB950759 with no issues. Give that a try...
zedox Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 (edited) I have a feeling either a silent exe that i have in HFSVCPACK is causing this error.Or... DELCATS=1 in HFANSWER.INI is causing it.I'm currently testing. Edited July 24, 2008 by zedox
heffalump Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 (edited) Hi, I'm having this same problem but with a Windows 2000 Pro source, with SP4 and the_guy's list of updates added as HF folder hotfixes. IE6.0sp1-KB950759-Windows2000-x86-ENU.exe is the offending hotfix! Edited July 27, 2008 by heffalump
heffalump Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Update: I took my SOURCESS and ran nLite over it. I added this hotfix via nLite and left everything else alone - I only used nLite's hotfix section (no tweaks, options, unattend section or anything)This resulted in the hotfix being integrated and when I test installed the ISO KB90579 did not show in Windows Update anymore.Any clues??
