Integrating programs

Is it possible to integrate programs to install on their own once windows is done installing?

Specific programs include, but are not limited to:

various media readers(adobe, ac3, divx, scorch, quicktime, shockwave, flash player, java, real, viewpoint) ,wrar, office 2003 (i have seen mention that this is possible, but could not figure out how), firefox, audacity, ccleaner, yahoo Norton antivirus, nero

If you have a link to a guide that would be great if the process is more in depth than just sticking the .exe file into nlite somewhere.

I got most of the readers and freeware programs through the add-ons, but how do I integrate purchased programs? Specifically nero, abbyy finereader, and office? Is there

After I integrate through RVM, can I then go through nlite to do all of the windows specific stuff? I tried to open the file that RVM created with nlite so I could add sp3, drivers, and apply all of the other tweaks that I wanted, but it said that it wanted to remove the hotfixes.

anyways..

(here you will find most of the addons, and your purchased nero as well, and it tells you how to import your license as well)

Office slipstreaming

(here you will find info on how to slipstream office 2003 to your xp cd)

Slipstream sp3 first, and then slipstream hotfixes and addons, and finally drivers.

Make sure you slipstream sp3 on a clean xp iso

Do no integrate addons before sp3

Thats the way it should be done

Use nlite to apply your tweaks and unattended info etc...

How do you integrate updates? I though that you just inserted the .exe file into nlite add-ons page, but once I get to the windows log on screen where it normal asks you for SN and other info, it restarts saying that there is not enough virtual memory. I upped my virtual memory to 4gb, so that cant be the problem. What am I doing wrong? I can integrate all of the program add-ons. So do I need to get the windows add-ons into .cab fomat?

I am getting very frustrated trying to integrate office 2003 sp3. I worked on it until 4am last night and have been working on it for 5 hours today only to get error messages. I have a retail version that was a free distribution from Microsoft. All of the guides I see point to a file called PRO11N.MSI, but I only have a PROI11N.MSI. I have been following this guide to allow for administrative installation points and silent install, but have never gotten anywhere to know if it works.

What makes this very frustrating is that many of the sub-guides (.htm) that are reference with in the general gudes refuse to come up. The pages just come up blank (I am signed in, so that should not be the problem), and when I go to look for a similar guide on the web, I always end up creating something that does not work.

I am also trying to get rid of various parts of Office such as Outlook and Infopath, as I never use them and if I have to go through all of the trouble of dealing with all the little stuff afterwards, I might as well just install then too. My goal is to basically make a disk that I can pop in and provide myself with a fresh copy of everything in the case of a crash without having any user input. The last time I crashed my computer (yes, it was my fault, but not intentional), I had a large project due for school the next day which made for a very interesting evening as I fumbled through stacks of disks trying to find the ones I needed to get back up an running.

First, I have been slipstreaming SP3 and giving my product key in Office Slipstreamer.

Then this guide is what I have been basing my efforts to simplify Office off of.

If I understand correctly, once I do that, I can follow this guide to create my .cab file which will then accomplish my goal.

Is there any guide that give me some unified direction as some of the guides seem to have steps that involve different programs to provide similar tasks, overlap some steps, and provide completely different ways of doing the same thing worded slightly differently.

I have also noticed that many of the guides offer boxes filled with code that is supposed to do what I need done; however, as I have absolutely no programing experience, I do not know what do do with this information.

Hello, yes i can understand that your new to these coding etc...

Just go to this site, its very simple and easy to understand, and the best thing of all, the guide covers almost all of your questions, with step by step guide screenshots.

From here you can easily understand and learn some very basic stuffs, which will give you an idea of how things work.

Basically it has all the info you need with very simple understanding guides.

Just take your time to read, and dont rush as its quite a long guide...
