cade08
Hi people, I have been watching the activity of my kids for a week and that puts me in doubt. They have been spending too much time on the system and I found some files on the system that they shouldn’t have accessed (the ones that their age does not permit). I fear that this may spoil them from the academic view and I need to prevent them from doing this and at the same time do not want to restrict their time on the system.Any suggestions????? supra1973
Try open dns. It allows you to block sites by content filters even for dynamic ips.
specialbao1
There are some programs through which you can monitor that and also restrict websites which could be opened. If you would like that then let me know,
joe43wv
I've tested k-9 web protection before and works great. It's also free to home users.http://www1.k9webprotection.com/
Tarun
If you've got a router that would be quite easy. If you don't have a router, you may want something like a Linksys WRT54GL. You can load it with custom Tomato firmware which has excellent restrictions.Watch this Access Restriction (2MB) video
arthur6547
I think there is not much to worry about…as they will get at facts sooner or later….but since they have a tender age…I think you should be using a parental control software. that will help you know the activities of your kids on the pc and you can also restrict them from going on the sites that you don’t prefer them to go on.Hope this will be a reliever to you.
