Autounattend question

Featured Replies

hi all

my first post here so be gentle.

anyway i wanted to if the autounattend.xml files are transferable to any computer, regardless of hardware differences, providing the OS's are the same?

I mean if i create an automated for vista business can this be used on any computer to auto install vista business.

sorry if this seems obvious or stupid

cheers

I have successfully used my xml ans file from first use to present day only with minor changes as I progressed. You can always re run your xml through the waik for any image to validate & save etc.

Oem or retail shouldn't make a difference, don't know about using all versions on one xml, don't think its possible. You could certainly try making a AIO. There is a guide around the net for this somewhere.

Have not had any problem with my xml file when installing between Ultimate and Buisness x32 with leaving the serial key out of the xml
