JedMeister Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 If it freezes especially in games, then the first thing I'd probably check out is overheating? Make sure its not just all full of dust.PSU is probably also worth checking out (perhaps see if you can find a spare one or borrow a friends).
trickytwista Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 you say it was doing it prior to installing the graphics so its not that then... i would suggest checking to see if the cpu is overheating and or test your ram for sure...good luck
Redhatcc Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 i would suggest checking to see if the cpu is overheatingi agree.. cpu overheating will cause the computer to freeze up. clean out all dust and what not from the fan,,, and next time if you can tell its about to freeze up, take a can of air duster, turn it upside down and spray it directly on the cpu heatsink that frost should cool it down some
data recovery Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Errors in registry also causes the system to freeze it.. so check the registry errors and try to repair it manually or using any registry repair software.... Registry repair software increased system performance and much more
