DigitalFruit
Time and time again I have checked for updates and no SP1 was available. There is no SP blocker key on my system, I cant figure out why I am not able to get SP1 through Windows Update. MS support refered me to use the vLite app but I have no idea what it does or how to use it. Need some help on this if someone is willing to help. Thanks

MagicAndre1981
no, WindowsUpdate checks for the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\vLiteto see if your Vista was edited by vLite to avoid unsuccessful installations of the Sp1 over WU.

TranceEnergy
It's the s*** v2 kb 938371 if i dont remember wrong, have another post on it here. Needs to be installed for future ms updates, including sp1.There was a v1 version of it, maybe you for some weird reason need to update it to v2 and windows update think not. It could be a lot of things.
DigitalFruit
Thanks to everyone for your responses. I think I may have misunderstood MS when they made mention about vLite, it was in my opinion vague if they were pointing the blame for the problem or resolution of it.My VU 64-Bit is OEM for system builders. I had to look for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 All Language Standalone DVD ISO. It was released on 04-14-2008. The other standalone version(s) that Tomorrow refered to will not install on the Thirty Six(36) Language version cause it is only supports the Five (5) language installation. Thus, none of the standalone versions prior to 04/14/2008 do not support VU 64-Bit with the Thirty Six(36) Language installed, unless you uninstalled them leaving the supported Five (5) which of course will take you probably days to do. No way, I chose to download the DVD ISO instead.http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=enI downloaded the ISO and burned it to a DVD and now I have Vista SP1 for all languages and versions on DVD.I installed it and everything is as sweet as can be. After this it seems that perhaps the reason Vista SP1 was not showing up in windows update is perhaps the version available through windows update supports only Vista with the Five (5) Language installation. Also, I had no bad drivers. I use Creative drivers and sound card. My on board Audio is disabled in the bios which is not realtek. Edited May 20, 2008 by DigitalFruit
TranceEnergy
Support for having all languages and having all languages integrated is a bit different You could'nt use the single service pack exe version instead of downloading the entire iso? I'm downloading it now to see if i understand you.
