Agus77in Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I've recently installed Macromedia Flash MX 2004 with the idea of using as a tool for designing webpages. Everything was fine until I was asked to download Flash ActiveX 9.0 (which I already had) and I couldn't. I tried uninstalling Flash MX 2004 and then installing the ActiveX, but it was useless. Then I looked for help at Adobe site and I got the same results: nothing. I'm thinking that it can be some problem with the registry, because after installing Flash MX 2004 I was warned about a registry change by Scott Patrol (security program). If someone can help me, I would be grateful.Agus77inPS: I didn’t no where to post, so forgive me if this forum is not the more appropriate one.
DigeratiPrime Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Check "Add or Remove Programs" for "Adobe Flash Player ActiveX" or similar and uninstall. Also you can check your IE Addons and delete the Adobe Shockwave Flash Object if present. Do you have more information on the error message you get when you try to download or install Flash ActiveX 9?
Tripredacus Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Ya and don't worry about MX 2004 being installed, it doesn't interfere with anything for a web browser such as the Flash Active-X Control.
