ramday
When I install Vista XP64 using the original disc from Microsoft I get two copies of all the software. For example on my C drive this a "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder and a "C:\Program Files folder" both containing things like Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer. I see no reason to keep the 32bit software so can I use Vlite to just install the x64 builds and save some space by not having any of Microsoft's 32bit software installed? oskingen
So far i don't know if vlite works in this way. Just wait for someone who can tell you that. I need to move on x64 so i'll follow this post.
Legolash2o
You can't just remove the x86 version of a component i.e. Windows Media Player... its both or nothing. Make sense? Edited May 10, 2008 by LegoLiamâ„¢

ramday
Hmm, would you happen to know why? Do they share files or something along those lines?

But in case if you want to see some flash movie on internet you need IE 32 because flash player is not compatible with x64. this is just an example of use, you see it's better to keep them both. There are not so much programs in double in x64 so don't worry for your space.
