gopackgo
Will the ISO image that Microsoft offers on their website be of any use to me? Will my product key work, or do I still have to slipstream SP3 myself?
PC_LOAD_LETTER
the ISO image they provide at that URL is NOT Windows XP WITH SP3 its an ISO image of SP3by itself.its pretty pointless as it would be easier to just download the .exe and burn it instead. JulianL
Does anyone know if the "Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (x86) - CD (English)" ISO image is due to be made available for public download? The SP3 installation package is now fully publicly available but I'm upgrading to a new PC so I'll be doing a bare-metal installation and I'd prefer to start with my nLite building blocks as big as possible so, although I know that I can use nLite to slipstream SP3 onto my gold XP-Pro-SP2 installation CD and then add device drivers from there, I'd prefer to start my nLite build from the official Microsoft XP-Pro-SP3 installation CD if possible.Unfortunately the friend who I thought had a Technet Plus subscription turns out to only have Technet so I can't access the Technet Plus download. Is there any hope that, as a general member of the public, I'll be able to (legally) get the official integrated ISO image in the near future?- Julian
