Tornprince Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 My Toshiba laptop didn’t come with a regular Windows XP install CD but instead something that copies a disk image to your hard disk which contains a load of crappy Toshiba applications. I wanted to create a Windows XP Pro installation disc with SP3 integrated so I could do a clean install but need a regular Windows XP Pro install CD to do this. Is there a standard XP Pro CD available for download from Microsoft or anywhere else? Also, do you need to integrate SP1 or SP2 in order to install SP3 or can SP3 be added on it sown? Thanks for your help with these questions.
PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 this is the only information MS has about replacement mediahttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246i dont think they can provide you with replacement media only toshiba can provide you with media for that licenseeasiest way would be to buy a xp pro/home license with media
Ponch Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Also, do you need to integrate SP1 or SP2 in order to install SP3 or can SP3 be added on it sown?I don't want to be harsh on a 1st poster, but do you have any idea how many times that question has been asked and answered in the past two weeks ?
