What are these different SP3 versions?

Featured Replies

Not strictly nLite but I think/hope the answer will be valuable for others.....

I just went the the Microsoft Technet Plus area (that you can still browse if not a subscriber, you just can't download) and I found the ISOs for XP Pro retail with SP3 included that now available for download if you're a subscriber (I'm not, but I know someone who is). I'm confused though because there are 4 versions available and I can't find a description of the differences. Could comeone please explain to me what the "K" and the "N" signify in the 4 versions below (basically cut and pasted from the Technet Website with a bit of tidy-up):

Does nLite work with the N-version? And is it possible to get MTP-devices to work with it without installing WMP10/11 ?

Thank you Fox and Angelico; mystery solved!

By the way, in my defence, Google most definitely wasn't my friend in this case but I really cannot work out why. Maybe it had an internal glitch on my search query because Googling "XP Professional N" came up with a total of about 6 hits when I first tried it, all but 1 in languages other than English and none useful. Various other google terms also yielded nothing useful. I just tried Googling "XP Professional N" again and I got plenty of hits. Strange.

EDIT: oh nevermind, seems I'd downloaded the wrong version.. what a flump. :D
