drive55 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) I plan a learning experience by a fresh nLite creation, slipstreaming SP3 to a XP_SP2 original disc. If I 'slipstream' WMP 11 & IE 7 according to the instruction on nLite website, will WMP 9/10/whatever & IE 6 be deleted/overwritten ? & if not, why not & how could I do that? because I would not see any valuable in having them installed. Many thanks for some guidances. Edited July 18, 2008 by drive55
drive55 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 I've never done the slipstreaming before, surely from the 50 people who have viewed this post, someone would have the knowledge to answer my question? Thank You
master811 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) Yes I've done it before, it will at least overwrite WMP 9/10 and/or IE6, however I'm not entirely sure if it removes/overwrites them completely - i.e. there might still be some leftover files, so you might need to confirm this. drive55 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 ie7 and wmp11 overwrite ie6 and wmp 9.it is recomended to integrate them on a clean cd.I'm grateful to both for your responses - the firmest foundation of knowledge & skill is based upon confidence & clarity - preferably from other guides who know the landscape, yet can recall when they, too, were once beginners ..... uncertain of even the most apparently basic things
