stephan_bauer Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hello Guys,I tried to include the latest rootsupd with hfslip but Windows Updatealways wants to update with an older version. Then I extracted the file from rootsupd.exe an changed in file rootsupd.infthese line fromVERSION="16,0,2195,0" Ver="016"toVERSION="9,0,2195,0" Ver="009"and installed it via right click on rootsupd.inf.Now Window Update is happy. Is this a good way to update Root Certificates? If so would it be possible to change hfslip for changing the rootsupd.inf automatically?RegardsStephan
Tomcat76 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 This needs to be tested thoroughly. Installing the wrong Roots Update can cause Windows to fail to boot completely.
