Stop error trying to install on an XPS 630

I just got a Dell XPS 630 and the first thing I did was wipe the Dell crap off the drive and try a fresh install of XP. However, my custom XP CD that I made with nLite gives me a stop error when I try to boot from it. It doesn't mention any specific driver, it's just a generic stop error (0x0000007b). I tried burning a fresh copy of the cd but got the same results. I was able to install fine with the Dell XP CD that came with the computer so I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue. My nLite CD was created from a slipstreamed SP2 copy of XP, with a fairly recent RyanVM update pack.

I've used this exact CD to install Windows at least 5 times on 3 different computers (a Dell Inspiron 9300, Mac Mini, and custom built desktop (Athlon 64 x2, nForce4 motherboard)) so I'm not sure why it doesn't like the XPS. I've attached my config file; if anyone has any clue what could be wrong or has run into this before any help would be appreciated.

Where does this error occur? Is it just before you are prompt to select the disk/partition to install XP?

EDIT: Just checked the specs for the XPS 630 and the option for the RAID is there. If you have RAID, there is your problem. You must integrate in textmode your controller drivers.

It's after the initial "setup is loading files" phase, when it says "Setup is starting Windows". I have RAID disabled right now specifically so I don't have to slipstream the driver onto the CD. I might reinstall with RAID at some later point but right now I don't have enough drives for it. I double checked in the BIOS and RAID is completely disabled so I don't think that's the problem. My old motherboard had RAID also but as long as I kept it disabled in the BIOS it never caused any problems, is this SATA controller special?

I don't think this controller is special. If the controller is configured as IDE (not RAID nor AHCI). It should be fine. Check your dell CD, maybe in the $OEM$ folder if there is anything that is loaded during the setup.

Otherwise, I can't think of more things. Sorry!

EDIT: Have you tried with a vanilla XP SP2 cd?
