anonymous_user Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Under Options > Tools can I use the %wpipath% variable when locating a program for Execute before/after?
Kelsenellenelvian Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 (edited) I do believe it relies on standard variables such as %windir%, %systemroot% and %programfiles%.mritter added those in but I do believe they are ran as a standard dos command.CORRECTION.He fixed it at some point in time."%wpipath%\Install\Driver Magician Lite.exe" Worked for me.... anonymous_user Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 Ok thanks. For the next version do you think WPI can automatically use the %wpipath% variable?
mritter Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Using any system variables, ie, %wpipath%, work fine. As far as auto-replacing C:\WPI\xxx.exe with %wpipath%\xxx.exe, that can be done, too. I left it out on purpose for more flexibility for launching programs. Say, you did an install, rebooted, install one last item, Execute After could then run CCleaner, for example. That wouldn't be in %wpipath%.I see your point in wanting it, but also limits you. So I will leave it out for now unless demand for it changes my mind.
