Hi, I'm a newbie and just tried HFSLIP for the first time to slipstream an old Windows2000 installation CD. It's a vanilla slipstream, just adding Service Packs, hoffixes and updates. It worked like a charm, and now I'm running it under Linux with VirtualBox, but now I noticed something extremely weird: Windows Explorer doesn't show the contents of folders! :blink: (see the attachment)

Here is my log:

===============================================================================

Host OS - Windows XP

HFSLIP Version - 1.7.4 build 80223

HFSLIP Path - C:\HFSLIP\

OS in SOURCESS - Windows 2000 Professional SP4 Spanish

Hi kateto

I don't think this last run is a "vanilla" slipstream.

The log reports: WARNING - Previously Patched Source Detected. This happens if the source was updated by HFSLIP or by nLite before.

It's OK to have a service pack slipstreamed into the source (in a clean way) but nothing else.

Did you re-use the new source that was created by a previous HFSLIP run?

Hi, Tomcat, thanks for replying.

I did reuse the files produced by a previous run of nLite, because it succeeded at integrating the Service Pack but for some reason the updates and hotfixes didn't go through, that's why I tried HFSLIP.

Do you think I should start all over? I tried to start from fresh files but for some reason HFSLIP froze in that attempt. Should I delete the SOURCESS folder every time before rerunning HFSLIP? What's the "clean way" of slipstreaming the Service Pack?

The SOURCESS folder is normally deleted automatically the next time you run HFSLIP. But in your case I suggest to start out with a clean folder structure (remove the SOURCESS folder, remove the content of the SOURCE folder and copy your CD into the SOURCE folder).

Either slipstream the service pack manually or let HFSLIP do it.
